Determinants of Employees' Job Satisfaction Affecting Loyalty: A Case Study of Small and Medium Enterprises in Vietnam

Nguyen Phan Thu Hang

In recent years, Vietnam has participated vigorously in the integration process and achieved many successes. International integration has become one of the critical drivers of socio-economic growth and development. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) play a significant role in each country’s economy, including countries with a high development level. Therefore, the paper aims to determine the factors affecting employees’ job satisfaction and loyalty at small and medium Vietnam enterprises. The results showed five determinants: leadership, training, job characteristics, salary, and working environment. All five factors were affecting employees’ job satisfaction and employees’ loyalty with 1% significance. Since then, the authors gave several recommendations to enhance employees’ job satisfaction and loyalty in small and medium-sized enterprises.
